AAIMS Grant

In the fall of 2007, El Dorado High School was selected to be in the first cohort of the Arkansas Advanced Initiative for Math and Science, Inc. (AAIMS).  This program is part of a national movement sponsored by Exxon-Mobil Corporation through the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI).  Governor Mike Beebe made the initial announcement of Arkansas' inclusion six states chosen.  The purpose of the $13.2 million six-year grant is to fund training and incentive programs for AP and Pre-AP courses to better prepare students for college-level work in math, science, English, and engineering.
