The El Dorado Public Schools offer a wide variety of competitive sports for all students at Barton Junior High and El Dorado High School.
El Dorado High School is a competitive member of the AAAAAA-South Conference and has advanced to state level competition in many of the sports programs. Under the direction of the district's 40 coaches, over 1,200 students participate in the activities below. Click on the name of the sport to see the current schedule for 2008-2009. All students must meet strict eligibility requirements established by the Arkansas Activities Association and the State Department of Education. Participants must also successfully complete a doctor's physical examination in order to compete.
Community and school support allows the El Dorado Schools to have some of the most outstanding facilities in the state.
The El Dorado School District recognizes the importance of extracurricular participation as an integral part of the total educational experience in "preparing our children for life".
